Best makeup brand/advice for medium brown Indian skin?

I have medium brown (like a dark tan) combination skin and I have not found a proper foundation, concealer or any other type of makeup yet. Any suggestions? Also, are there any websites that give good advice on how to apply makeup for Indian skin? Thanks!Best makeup brand/advice for medium brown Indian skin?
My friend is Indian and she usually just wears black eyeliner all the time. Indians can get away wearing less makeup than most people. I鈥檝e noticed that Indians have great lashes so you probably don鈥檛 have to wear mascara unless you want to. Indian people also have stunning eyes. Warm eye shadow colors would look best on you Also, you might want to have 2 shades of foundation to even out your skin tone being that your forehead is darker than the rest of your face and your cheeks are the lightest but this may not be the case for you so if not you just need one. Don鈥檛 forget to blend! You鈥檒l probably have to practice and experiment some. To find a foundation go to a department store where you can get a shade to match your skin. I鈥檓 not sure what brand to use for Indian skin but personally the brand I like is mac but I haven鈥檛 tried their foundation only their eye shadow and eyeliner. If that is too expensive the next best brand, which can be found at places like target, is L鈥橭real. I have L鈥橭real truematch which is a liquid foundation and L鈥橭real bare naturale which is a powder. They both work well. For blush use a bronzer or a berry shade.Best makeup brand/advice for medium brown Indian skin?
U should go buy it at Macy's they have really good make up that will match ur tone.
U can try Bobbi Brown or Iman. These 2 brands cater to ladies with darker skin tone.
BARE ESENTUALS SUCKS AND THEY DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT HAVE COLORS FOR DARK SKIN THAT LOOK GOOD. THE COLORS LOOK TOO GRAY OR TOO RED.

I WOULD RECOMMEND BOBBI BROWN, MAC, BOURJOIS, NARS AND BECCA.THESE MAKEUP LINES HAVE ALOT OF PIGMENT AND ARE HARMONIOUS WITH YOUR SKINTONE.

GOLD/BRONZE/SHIMMERY PINK-BRONZE/DARK GREEN/BLACK ARE ALL GREAT COLORS FOR YOUR SKIN.
I understand your frustration. I'm a SE Asian and it has proven to be extremely difficult in finding the right makeup for my skin color.

I've been eyeing Loreal's True Match foundation for a while and have just checked out their site: www.lorealparisusa.com.

They boast that this product will match any skincolor regardless of race or origin. Try the shade match feature and a video will load to help you match your skintone and undercolor. They'll also show you how to apply the makeup.

I will go out and get the recommended shade to experiment in a few days. If it is either too dark I will just find a shade lighter and mix it until I get the perfect shade and vice versa. Hope that helps.
Oh my - let me tell you - I started using Bare Escentuals in January and have almost the entire collection now! I LOVE IT! You can start out with the starter kit, you get two foundations - you usually have to mix them a bit to get the right color - its so simple! You get Warmth - which looks dark but it isn't - it just adds a natural sunlight look to you. You get Mineral Veil - it perfects your look and gives you that smooth finish : )

You get three brushes - the brushes are unlike any other - don't try any imitations - the B.E. brushes are wonderful! You usually get a starter DVD also - you will watch it the first couple times you put it on - I remember I panicked and thought Id never remember the order to put it on : )

I put mine on a little heavier than the DVD suggests - it works well for me.

They are on QVC all the time, so check QVC for great deals : )

I have almost all of my friends and co-workers wearing B.E. now - we are addicted : )

I think my favorite would be the Well Rested for your eyes - no matter how tired you are - you put that around your eyes and you look...well...well rested!

Oh - and the Bisque - it covers trouble spots - liver spots - blemishes - dark circles and other things : )

It DOESN'T come off when you sweat - its safe to sleep in!

I cant say enough about this make up - try it - you will LOVE it!

Oh - and don't panic - your face might feel a little dry the first 3 - 4 days that you use it - but it will go away!

Hope this helps -

~ B.E. NUT! : )
i have to say this first, because i don't want you to miss it: nature gave you beauty, and natur(al) is always gonna be the best. especially with indian looks (i have several close friends), mascara and a thin eyeliner enhances the eyes and really brings out the beauty in the face.

on foundation, there is a type called ';bare minerals'; that is really encredible on darker (as in, not pale) skin. on top of the fact that it makes your skin look even and everything, its extremely light, made of all natural materials and doesn't clog up the pores. its now come to most target / walgreens / everything like them around, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

mac and avon are generally considered to be good products all around, mac especially when looking for foundation and concealer. their stores have the counters with people who can help you math your skin tone to a product, and they only hire professionals that have some sort of legitimate credentials with past experiences, so they are really good.

enjoy!
Use a loreal powerd foundation and then a dark blush as your powder. It's cheap and as effective as using a dark liquid foundation without the feeling of it.
i have used a line of make-up for years. it is called bare escentual or bare minerals. there is something for every type or tone of skin. in my opinion, it is the best make-up on the planet. hope this helps you. i know you won't be sorry....
